People sometimes ask about the TJ logo at right. I designed this logo from 2 separate images that are significant for me. The turtle is symbolic of nature and Mother earth and is present in many cosmology stories where the turtle creates the earth by diving to the bottom of the sea and brings mud to the surface on it's back, thus building the earth. The inner image is of Elder Brother or Man in the Maze. I call it Man in the Labyrinth as a maze is designed to disorient or confuse and a labyrinth has a specific path, beginning to end and is designed to enlighten or meditate. The man image is from ancient cultures where the man walks his path (labyrinth or maze) until death arrives. Death is represented by the dot in the center of the image. When man completes his walk he is ready to step into death. Therefore the entire logo is man walking on the back of the turtle, living his life fully until death arrives. Hence the name Turtle Journeys.
